App Setup – Step 3: How to Customize Age Verification

Open the app, and you will see the "Customizer" option in the left menu. Click on it to open the Customizer settings, or click on the "customizer button" shown in the setup guide.

Entrance Popup

Click on the "Entrance Popup" button either in the left menu or in the setup guide to open the Entrance Popup Customizer settings.

Once the 'Entrance Popup Customization Settings' page opens, you will see options to customize the age verification popup that appears on your website. Any changes you make will be immediately visible in the preview section.

After making all the required changes, click the 'Save' button on the right to apply the changes.

Terms and Conditions

Click on the "Terms and Conditions" button either in the left menu or in the setup guide to open the Terms and Condition Customizer settings.

Once the 'Terms and Conditions Settings' section opens, you will see options to display the Terms and Conditions block on the Product Page and Cart Page. This block appears above the checkout and dynamic checkout buttons, allowing you to restrict checkout access and verify customer age using either a Date of Birth selector or a Checkbox input.

After making all the required changes, click the 'Save' button on the right to apply the changes.

Checkout Verification

Click on the "Checkout Verification" button either in the left menu or in the setup guide to open the Checkout Verification settings.

Checkout Verification for Shopify Non-Plus Store

For non-Shopify Plus stores, the Checkout Verification settings can only display an informational banner on the checkout page. Restricting the "Pay Now" button is available only for Shopify Plus stores.

Checkout Verification for Shopify Plus Store

For Shopify Plus stores, the Checkout Verification settings allow you to display an Info banner, verify the customer’s age using a date-of-birth selector, or a checkbox input on the checkout page.

Customize the settings based on your store requirements, then click "Save" button to apply the changes.

After customizing the "Age Verification" settings, return to the Dashboard page. And you will see that the "Customize Settings" task is now marked as Complete.

Once all 3 setup steps are completed, the progress bar will show 100%, indicating that your app setup is complete, and the AVP - Age Verification will now go live on your storefront with the changes you made.
