How to Set Up Age Verification on the Cart or Checkout Page
This article explains how to add age verification on the cart page or checkout page using the AVP – Age Verification app.

Before You Start
Age verification can be added in these two places:
- Cart Page / Cart Drawer: Use the Terms and Conditions settings.
- Checkout Page: Use the Checkout Verification settings.

Option 1: Set Up Age Verification on the Cart Page
Use this option if you want customers to verify their age before clicking the checkout button from the cart page, cart drawer, or cart notification.
Note : You can also add the age verification block on the product page

Option 2: Set Up Age Verification on the Checkout Page for Shopify Plus Stores
The Checkout Verification allow you to display an Info banner, verify the customer’s age using a date-of-birth selector, or a checkbox input on the checkout page.

Option 3: Set Up Checkout Verification on a Non-Plus Shopify Store
Shopify does not allow full checkout page modification for non-Plus stores.
Because of this, non-Plus Shopify stores can show an information banner at checkout

📌 Important Notes
- Terms & Condition and Checkout verification requires the Premium Plan.
- Shopify Plus stores can use checkout verification layouts to restrict pay now button.
- Non-Plus Shopify stores can only show an information banner at checkout.
- Always click Save after making changes.
