This article explains how billing, charges, refunds, payments, and subscriptions work for the AVP – Age Verification app.

1️⃣ How Shopify Billing Works  

App billing is handled directly by Shopify. Upgrading or downgrading your current plan will automatically update your billing for the next cycle. Refund requests are also managed by Shopify. 


For any billing-related questions or refund assistance, please contact Shopify Support directly.


2️⃣ Why Was I Charged? 

You may see an app charge because:
  • Your 3-day free trial ended.
  • A paid plan was approved from your Shopify admin.
  • Your app subscription renewed for the next billing cycle.
  • You upgraded or changed your plan.
  • The app was still installed when Shopify processed the billing cycle.
If you are unsure about a charge, please check your Shopify billing section or contact Shopify Support directly.

3️⃣ Subscription Renewals  

Your subscription will renew automatically through Shopify based on the plan you approved

To stop future charges, you need to Downgrade to Free plan or  uninstall the AVP app from your Shopify store.

4️⃣ Refund Requests  

Refund requests are managed by Shopify. 
For refund assistance, please contact Shopify Support directly.

5️⃣ How do I Contact Shopify Support?  

  1. Go to help.shopify.com.
  2. Click the Chat with a human button located at the bottom-right corner of the page to connect with a Shopify Support advisor.
