How to Activate, Upgrade, Downgrade, or Switch Monthly and Yearly Plans

This article explains how to activate a plan, upgrade or downgrade your plan, and switch between monthly and yearly billing in the AVP – Age Verification app.

1️⃣ How to Activate a Plan 

  1. Go to the Plans page from the left menu in the AVP – Age Verification Popup app.
  2. Select the plan that best fits your store requirements.
  3. Approve the plan to activate it.
Once the plan is approved, return to the app and refresh the page the Step 1 Activate plan status will be completed.

2️⃣ How to Update / Upgrade, Downgrade Your Plan or Switch Between Monthly and Yearly plan  

You can update, downgrade or switch your plan directly from the Plan page.

Open the app and go to the Plan pageSelect the plan you want to upgrade, downgrade or switch to, then approve the charges. Once approved, your selected plan will be activated automatically.

📌 Important Note 

  • App billing is handled directly by Shopify. Upgrading or downgrading your current plan will automatically update your billing for the next cycle.
  • For any billing-related questions, please contact Shopify Support directly.
  • Downgrading to the Free plan will disable all paid features. You can still customize the Entrance Popup age limit, heading, subheading and button text fields.
  • If you upgrade again later, you will regain access to the paid features. However, some previous settings may need to be configured again
