Checkout Age Verification Not Showing or Not Working: Troubleshooting

Checkout verification is available only on the Premium Plan.

If you cannot access checkout verification settings, please open the Plans page and make sure you are using the correct plan.

For Shopify Plus stores, you can add the age verification block to the Shopify Checkout Editor and use checkout verification options such as: Info banner. Checkout verification checkbox and Date-of-birth verification.

For non-Plus Shopify stores, Shopify does not allow full checkout page modification. Because of this, only an information banner can be shown at checkout. The app cannot restrict the Pay Now button on non-Plus stores.

1. Open the AVP – Age Verification Popup app.
2. Go to Checkout Verification from the left menu.
3. Make sure Checkout Verification is turned ON.
4. Click Save after making changes.

If you are using Shopify Plus, also make sure the Age Checkout Verification block is added in the Shopify Checkout Editor.

Select the correct market if you are using multiple market-based settings.

For Shopify Plus stores, checkout verification will not appear until the block is added to the checkout editor.
